Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: May 18, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast and E2W, LLC are committed to ensuring that our website and our in-person hospitality services are accessible to people with disabilities, including guests who use screen readers, screen magnifiers, alternative input devices, captioning, or other assistive technologies. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to the information, reservations, and experiences we offer, and we work continuously to identify and address barriers on our website.

2. Definitions

In this Website Accessibility Statement, the words “you” and “your” refer to each guest, customer, website visitor, or user. The words “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to E2W, LLC, doing business as Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast. The words “website” or “site” refer to grand-colonial.com and any pages or content we directly publish on it.

3. Conformance Standard

We aim to substantially conform our website to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard most commonly referenced in United States accessibility law, including Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We use the word “aim” deliberately: while we work toward this standard, websites are dynamic and some elements may not yet meet every WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criterion at all times. We treat WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a goal we are continuously working toward, not a guarantee at any given moment.

4. Measures We Take to Support Accessibility

To support accessibility on our website, we take the following measures:

  • We review our website periodically using a combination of automated accessibility checking tools and manual review.
  • We address accessibility issues we identify, and accessibility issues reported by users, as part of our normal website maintenance cycle.
  • We design new content (room descriptions, breakfast menus, policy pages, etc.) with accessibility in mind, including descriptive alternative text for images, clear heading structure, and readable text contrast.
  • We choose third-party tools and plugins with accessibility in mind where reasonable alternatives exist.
  • We are committed to ongoing improvement and to taking accessibility feedback seriously when we receive it.

We have not commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit at this time. If that changes in the future, we will update this statement to reflect it.

5. Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology

Our website is designed to be compatible with the most recent versions of widely-used web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. The website is also designed to work with commonly-used screen reader software (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver) and with keyboard-only navigation.

Our website is not designed to be compatible with browsers older than the two most recent major versions, or with assistive technology that does not support modern web standards (HTML5, ARIA, and CSS3). If you experience an accessibility issue that may be caused by browser or assistive-technology compatibility, please let us know using the contact information below, we will do our best to help and to address any underlying issue on our end.

6. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content on our website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Embedded reservation and booking widgets: Our reservation system is provided by a third-party booking platform. We have limited ability to modify its accessibility behavior.
  • Embedded maps and social-media feeds: Maps and social-media embeds rely on third-party platforms whose accessibility we do not control.
  • Older PDF documents: Some historical PDFs on our site (for example, archived menus or older policy documents) may not be fully tagged for screen reader use. We are working to remediate or replace these documents as we encounter them; in the meantime, please contact us if you need an accessible version of any document.
  • User-uploaded or guest-generated content: Guest reviews, testimonials, and similar content may not always meet accessibility standards.

If you encounter an accessibility limitation that is not listed here, please contact us using the information in Section 9 below, we want to know about it.

7. Third-Party Content

Our website includes content, plugins, and embedded widgets provided by third parties, including (but not limited to) reservation and booking platforms, mapping services, social-media feeds, payment processors, analytics providers, and review platforms. While we make reasonable efforts to choose accessible third-party providers, we do not control the underlying code, layout, or behavior of third-party content and cannot guarantee its conformance to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If you encounter an accessibility issue with third-party content on our site, please let us know and we will (a) raise the issue with the third-party provider where possible and (b) offer you an alternative way to access the same information or complete the same transaction.

8. Alternative Ways to Access Information and Services

You are not required to provide any of this information to file a complaint, but it helps us investigate and respond more effectively.

10. Response Time

We will acknowledge your accessibility feedback or complaint within five (5) business days of receipt. We will provide a substantive response, including, where possible, a fix or a planned remediation timeline, within forty-five (45) calendar days. Some complex issues may take longer to resolve; if so, we will tell you that and keep you updated on our progress. If you are unable to reach us, or if you do not receive a response within the timeframes described above, or if your concern is time-sensitive (for example, you have an upcoming reservation), please call 315-982-5004 directly so we can address the issue without further delay.

11. Applicable Law

This statement reflects our voluntary commitment to website accessibility. Nothing in this statement is intended to create rights or obligations beyond those imposed by applicable law, including Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12181 et seq.), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. § 794), the New York State Human Rights Law (New York Executive Law § 296), New York Civil Rights Law § 40-c, and any other applicable federal, state, or local accessibility and anti-discrimination laws. If you believe we have failed to provide accessible information or services and our internal complaint procedure has not resolved your concern, you may have additional rights under those laws.

12. Date and Review Cycle

This Website Accessibility Statement was last updated on May 18, 2026. We will review and, if necessary, revise this statement at least annually, and sooner if there are material changes to our website, our reservation systems, or applicable accessibility law.
