Grand Colonial hosting is perfect for luncheons and dinner gatherings. Please contact us to discuss the exceptional host services we can provide.

Frequently asked questions about weddings & events at Grand Colonial

How many guests can stay at Grand Colonial during a wedding weekend?

The inn sleeps up to 10 guests across our four guest rooms (the exact count depends on which bed configurations you need). This is the max-sleepers number for whole-house rental, perfect for an intimate wedding party that wants the whole inn to themselves. For larger wedding groups, we work with you on lodging blocks combined with nearby accommodations.

Do you host the ceremony itself, or just provide lodging?

The inn is best as a private gathering and lodging base. For larger ceremonies, several stunning regional venues are within easy reach, including Beardslee Castle in Little Falls, and we can help coordinate guest stays around your venue choice.

Can we rent the whole house?

Yes. Renting the whole inn gives your party the run of the place: all four guest rooms, the common spaces, and breakfast service tailored to your group. Inquire directly at (315) 982-5004 for whole-house rates and availability.

What does the inn typically include during an event weekend?

Made-to-order breakfast each morning of the stay is standard. Beyond that, early check-in for the party, late-checkout, in-room welcomes for arriving guests, breakfast timing tailored to ceremony schedule, we coordinate on a case-by-case basis. Direct bookings give us the most flexibility.

What’s the best season for a Central New York wedding weekend?

Fall (mid-September through mid-October) is the peak for foliage-frame weddings. Late spring and early summer are popular for outdoor ceremonies. Winter weddings, especially around Glimmer Nights in December, have their own quieter magic. See our seasonal events guide for what’s happening each month.

Planning a holiday-season gathering? See our guide to holiday fun in Central New York for things to do across the region in November and December. Visiting with kids around Easter? See our Easter Bunny Express guide for the seasonal Adirondack Scenic Railroad ride.
