The casino offers smoker-friendly and non-smoking gaming areas. From Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast, Turning Stone is an easy 35-minute drive on the New York State Thruway (Exit 33). Canal Place

The quaint shops, antique malls, galleries, restaurants, old mill buildings, and scenic views along the waterfront of Canal Place in Little Falls, offer visitors everything from the arts to natural history all in one area. After taking in the history of the old mill buildings and shopping the hundreds of antique vendors, be sure to walk to Benton’s Landing to see the remains of an ancient aqueduct connecting the old canal to the port facilities that once existed there. Next take a short walk to Lock 17 and Moss Islands to witness the giant potholes carved out of stone by a Pleistocene-era water fall. When you get back, take in an exhibit at the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts and enjoy a meal at one of the canal-side eateries. Canal Place is a 12-minute drive from Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast.

Mohawk Antiques Mall

Whether you’re starting a collection or adding to one, you’re sure to find something old to treasure at Mohawk Antiques Mall. Mohawk Antiques Mall is a multi-vendor cooperative housed in a two-story historical factory building. They offer thousands of vintage and antique items, collectibles, jewelry, furniture and much more in their main building. They also have an architectural and salvage warehouse with over 15 separate vendors who bring in new and exotic items daily. Their hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. They are closed on Tuesdays. Mohawk Antiques Mall is a short 4-minute drive from Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast and is located just over the bridge from New York State Thruway Exit 30.

While you’re there, take a moment to stop into the official Mohawk Valley Visitor Center and learn more about the region. With items from over 70 New York legacy businesses under one roof, you’re sure to find a locally-inspired gift at the specialty shopping building. When you’re done shopping, dine on the canal at Waterfront Grille. Open daily for lunch and dinner, Waterfront Grille is the most visited and enjoyed dine-in restaurant of our guests. The complex is also home to Erie Canal Cruises, where award-winning narration and spectacular sightseeing on the Erie Canal await you aboard a cruise boat, departing twice daily.
